Bird’s Hill from Night Owl Quilting

Leslie made this Queen sizes quilt for her granddaughter.  When asked what colour she liked her answer was pale purple.  Leslie chose the Bird's Hill pattern from the Blanket Statement and added a few pops of darker purple for some visual interest.

Leslie chose the Tickle pantograph which adds really nice movement to the top.

A lovely lilac backing and completed binding from "Bindings by Marion" finish it off perfectly.

Designer Mystery BOM 2022 from Night Owl Quilting

Becky brought this pretty quilt.  It was the 2022 Designer Mystery Block of the Month from the Fat Quarter Shop.  The fabric collection was called Nantucket Summer by Camille Roskelley for Moda Fabrics.  Becky even treated herself to the coordinating backing fabric which just makes the whole project sing.

Becky chose the Tickle pantograph and an icy blue thread as she didn't want the thread to totally disappear.

A really beautiful quilt that was a mystery when she signed up!

Shylyte's Jelly Roll Race from Night Owl Quilting

Shylyte put together this lovely Jelly Roll Race quilt using the Firefly collection by Sarah Watts for Ruby Star Society.

Many of the prints included some subtle metallic elements.  Shylyte chose the Tickle pantograph and we decided to use a shiny thread that was in a golden beige hue for the quilting.  A true gold would have been too much, but I think we added just the right amount sparkle.

The rich plum Fireside backing shows off the quilting really well and makes such a cozy quilt.

Dance from Night Owl Quilting

This wonderful quilt was made by Myrna.  The pattern is called Dance and is from local pattern designer Melissa Marginet.  Myrna wanted more of a rectangle shaped quilt than a square so she added borders to the top and bottom only.  I think a lot of quilters might hesitate to do this fearing it might not look right, but as you can see here it worked out great.

Myrna chose the Tickle pantograph and a light turquoise for the quilting.

Two For Margaret from Night Owl Quilting

Margret brought two lovely quilts  and first up is this Snowball quilt.  The lovely fabric is from the Bee Grateful collection by Deb Strain for Moda.  Margaret selected the Fanciful Fliers pantograph and asked me to leave the border cornerstones empty so she could add some embroidery.

And the backing is a great way to use up some leftover fabric for the top.

The second quilt is the Twilight Lake Quilt #2 which is a free pattern from Henry Glass Fabrics.

Margaret selected the Tickle pantograph for this one and we used an amazing chameleon thread - Sew Fine #489 "Lewis ...

Celtic Crossing from Night Owl Quilting

Shalane sent the fabulous quilt and I have to say I absolutely love it!  The pattern is called Celtic Crossing from Lo & Behold Stitchery.  The fabrics are from a beautiful line designed for Art Gallery Fabrics by Sharon Holland called Kismet.

Shalance requested the Tickle pantograph and a thread similar to the color of her backing fabric.  I think the end result is just perfect.

Dawn's Our Hearts Will Go On from Night Owl Quilting

Another quilt that looks great in my bedroom!  This beauty was made by Dawn for her niece's wedding.  Unfortunately Dawn could not travel to Michigan to attend because of the current Covid restrictions, but she could send lots of love to the new couple with this quilt.  The pattern is "Our Hearts Will Go On" by the Fabric Addict.

Dawn selected the Tickle pantograph, Quilter's Dream Blend Batting, and Northcott's canvas wide backing to complete her project.  I had a lovely shiny Magnifico thread in a blue/green that looked just perfect with the batiks for the ...
